  7. The UXIP Development Package provides an Application Programming Interface
  8. (API) to HDLC frame-level and X.25 packet-switched networks. The UXIP is a
  9. character special device driver supporting concurrent operation of up to 12
  10. coprocessor-based 5502 SDLA adapters each operating up to 255 logical channels
  11. at line speeds of up to 256 KB. The driver operates entirely without interrupts
  12. or a polling routine, yielding non-intrusive operation requiring minimal
  13. processor resources. Other features include a built-in line scoping facility,
  14. statistics package, and X.25 History Table. The UXIP Development Package
  15. includes comprehensive documentation, structure definitions, sample code, and a
  16. complete menu-driven utilities package and testing facility.
